About ficvale

ficvale is a small set of free tools for people who write fanfic, run roleplay threads, or just like putting characters in rooms together to see what happens.

Why these tools exist

Most writing tools are either enormous suites or thin wrappers around a login wall. This site goes the other way: one page, one job, no account. You open it, you get output, you copy it, you leave. Nothing is saved on a server because nothing is sent to one.

How the dialogue pool is built

Every scene in the pool was written for this site. The lines are generic everyday speech and stage directions, combined by a script into short exchanges; no dialogue from any film, series, game or book is copied, quoted or lightly reworded. That is deliberate: the point is to give you a skeleton to hang your own characters on, not to reproduce lines you have already seen.

What is stored

Nothing you type. Character names stay in the browser tab. We use analytics to count visits (see privacy), and that is the only data collection on the site.

Who runs it

ficvale is run by one person as a side project. If something is broken, or a tool does something strange with your input, tell us — that is the fastest way to get it fixed.
